HSBC

If you have a HSBC account in Europe, the Australian branch cannot access your bank account. This is in bright contrast to what they state when you open the account with them. So if you think that you are going to travel around the world and have the benefit of a global banking system, forget it.
If you have a credit card with HSBC, you cannot transfer funds from your CC to your everyday account, only the other way around. Also, they will make an annual question to your credit history file as long as you have a CC with them.
To apply for a loan in this bank is interesting to say the least as the procedures follows a very low standard. You might find that other banks offer you a much more refined service and are much more business minded.
The bank also states that they have very little extra fees. When they do however, the fees are huge. How about $ 35 for a dishonour fee?
Their internet banking app is the worst I have tried; complicated login, unpractical user interface and very little banking you can actually do with the app.
Last but not least, I love how they have to greet me with «Welcome to HSBC, what can I do for you today Sir?» when I approach the counter. The worlds most official and boring greeting ever and it is so rehearsed that it long since lost its importance.
