Specialties
It is the South East Asian street kitchens and hawker foods that have inspired Gingerboy.
History
Established in 2006.
Teage Ezard is recognised as one of the country’s leading chef/restaurateurs whose trademark contemporary cuisine is championed at his Melbourne establishments ezard, Gingerboy and Sydney restaurant Black by ezard.
He started his career at Guernica and has owned and operated his eponymous Asian-inspired restaurant since 1999. Gingerboy was opened in October 2006 with the aim of designing an original dining space that is innovative, stylish with a sense of colour and fun, in the style and elegance of the Asian Hollywood of the 50s. The Gingerboy dining concept is centred on a modern adaption to the Asian hawker style street market, influenced by not only the dining culture of South East Asia but also images of the buzzing marketplaces.
