FB Rice was founded in 1949 by Frederick Bernhard Rice on the principle that Australia’s emerging scientific community needed assistance to really thrive.

In the more than 60 years that have followed, the firm has grown to be one of Australia’s most trusted professional organisations.

From our very beginnings in Pitt Street, Sydney, Frederick Bernhard Rice was known for his close and incredibly productive working relationships with leading and fledgling scientists and inventors. In our first decade the firm earned a quality reputation for contributing to and protecting the intellectual property of creative Australians, which it still enjoys.
