Dutchess

Beautiful venue and music.
But staff really had no idea about how to work in a restaurant, no idea of the meals and no idea of wait staff etiquette. Was too many staff walking around being a distraction, but not actually helping. Staff took food away before finishing and general couldn’t read what stage people were at as to whether to pour wine or simple just leave alone. Staff gave off a snobby attitude and arrogance, but couldnt back it up with any substance including failing to provide adequate cutlery for the meals.
Food was mediocre and we both found the steaks to be poor cuts, fatty and not cooked to either our requests.
Unfortunately the venue is awesome but we will not be back or recommending this to anyone as there are far better options in Melbourne.

Kicked off dinner at the Dutchess with a bottle of Dom, a sign of good things to come. All the food was great but highlight was definitely the lay out of the restaurant. The whole restaurant was very lux and a perfect place to just kick back over drinks and dinner with friends. They also take bookings and allow 2.5 hours at your table which is a lot better then other restaurants in Melbourne at the moment.
The Dutchess is delightful!
