Everything we ate here was stale– pastry and bread was old and hard– way overpriced for the quality you get. Coffee was the only good part

Love it. Very friendly staff. Good light, airy atmosphere with great outdoor spacing. Food ifs wonderful. A no brainier if you are staying at the Blackman.

Fantastic. So good we went there twice during our 5 days in Melbourne. First day we had great coffee and a selection of croissants along with the amazing fruit/yogurt/honey plate. Lovely indoor/outdoor seating and super nice waiter. Second day we went I tried the Croque Madame. It wasn’t the greatest but wasn’t bad and the coffee and macarons more than made up for it. Nice mellow environment and glad to have something near the Charsfield to go to. Will definitely return to try more off the menu when I’m back in MEL!

My only real complaint about this place is that the prices are pretty hefty for what you get. I’m not a big fan of paying for more just because you have sleek decoration and you want to be fancy. If you’re going to price a sandwich at 13 dollars, this better be the best damn sandwich that I’ve ever had in my life — I mean I expect to orgasm on the spot. Unfortunately that didn’t happen with Fleur Depot De Pain. The sandwich was good, but I maintain that it was overpriced. If you’re not like me and you don’t maintain that food and value must be at a 1:1 ratio(or more), then feel free. Food: I ordered the Tuna & Egg Salad sandwich. First impression? Bread was a tad bit tough so I ended up taking off the entire top half of the baguette and just eating the tuna on top of the bottom half bagel-style. It wasn’t too bad — they added a nice lemon citrus to the sandwich and to be fair — it was a top quality sandwich. Underwhelming for the price though. I probably wouldn’t come back until I’m a billionaire.

Great place for lunch … Recently changed the menu and wine list though(not for the better). Still this is only a minor complaint about a gem of a place

This is a lovely petit french café underneath the lovely BLACKMAN Hotel. Love the clean and simple décor, which let the sun shine through the whole black and white themed woody atmosphere. A simple Madame Croque with a Latte can fill your sunny afternoon with a smile, away from the busy St Kilda Road. Great service too! ” Depot de Pain, French for«bread depot», it is traditional term for a shop that sells bread made off-site. Fleur Depot de Pain is a quiet nod in the direction of this classic concept. All breads and pastries at Depot de Pain are supplied by their sister venue, the iconic French Fantasies Boulangerie Patisserie on Toorak Road, South Yarra.“ meow…
