Established in 2014.

Formerly of TOWA Hair Design, Darren and Yudai opened the new salon in September 2014 and have over 17 years of experience in the industry and are known for their personalised service where clients are listened to, cared for and treated with respect. Everyone leaves with great hair and a smile.

Thanks to a Unilocal search I was able to get a last minute late Sunday afternoon appointment for a wash and blow dry. I have lots of extremely thick long hair, so not only does it hold water way too well, meaning extra long to blow dry, it also takes a lot to get it to stay dead straight and «hairdresser hair».
$ 45 for a really quick blow dry and straighten. Did I say it was on a Sunday? Probably one of the better price points in Melbourne, and 2 days later the style is still going strong.
There must be something in the water here though, while I was in the US & Sth Africa I could go 4 days before it got even remotely oily, whereas back in Melbourne I think I’m running back at 2 days, which will become costly if I don’t stop being so lazy and start washing my own hair!
I think I’ll go back here :)
Fun Fact — blow dries actually start at $ 30, plus $ 10 for the irons on top

This was my first visit to D&Y and what a fantastic job done. I got a hair spa + hair cut session done and Eddie was just so great. He had all the knowledge about what would best suit my hair gave me really good advice on how I can improve the overall texture of my hair. My hair looked GREAT after the session and I will definitely go again.

So happy with my haircut! I bought the $ 29 wash, cut & blowdry deal on groupon for my boyfriend and I, and we both were really happy with the service and style. Alvin was my hairdresser and understood exactly what I wanted and gave me a great cut. Perfect hairdressers, thanks very much!

One of the best places i had a haircut. The barber was so polite, friendly and communicative. She was asking me every time she cut my hair. She even washed my hair twice which was nice. Will definitely go there again and recommend it to others as well.

After a long search online and reading i decided pick this place since my hair was in desparte need of alot of care, i walked in this morning and a guy came smilling and asked me what he could help me with, i ask if there was anything available and i was lucky to get time on spot since they just opend fir the day, we satt and talked about what i wanted to do with my hear and gave me good advices and listend to me, that whas a new expirience for me :) i had my hair colured, washed and cut and i went out of there with big smile on my face, the service whas super and the pepole that work there super polite and friendly. and i want to thank Danii for for giving me faboluse hair :) thank youuuuuuuuuu

Probably one of the best hair salon in Melbourne. Having recently moved from Fashion Park (TOWA Hair Studio), Yudai & Darren are two fantastic duo!
