Service here is hit and miss — from the downright helpful to the«I’m too cool to be working here» vibe. The clothing though is excellent, with a price tag to match, but I’m happy purchasing items here for my favourite plus one as the quality is high and lasts a long time despite him having a job that means he really thrashes his clothing. The style is mostly industrial, but each season they do some great shirts for fancier occasions that he enjoys wearing. I know a purchase here is always well received. They have a very small selection of women’s Carharrt at this store, but 80% of the store is targeted at men.

For men the range of urban street wear is ok — I guess. Semi-casual to casual tees, big snow hood jackets, hot jeans in light, dark, faded, distressed and ripped denim. But for fuck sake, does a plain tee, regardless of the quality, durability or appeal EVER need to cost $ 70? They claim because the label originated from strong, solid men’s work-wear that the fashion label has the same durable qualities. Well here’s a tip lads; Morrissey doesn’t even charge that much and they are as fashion forward and stylish for men as they come. That’s because unlike work-wear, fashion changes constantly and most peeps just can’t afford a $ 7000 annual wardrobe. OK!!! And as for the women’s range, forget it! What I thought was an over sized men’s trench coat in the wrong section turned out to be none other than a ladies size 8 dress! I wanted to take a pic to upload but I was being glared at(the horror must have been written all over my face!). A singlet dress took my eye, but I quickly tried to walk away when I realised this cotton dress, with nothing but a logo on the front embedded in what can only be described as an Ed Hardy rip off print, would sting — no burn — me $ 75!!! The pushy young sales girl came bustling over as I was dropping the price tag. «You’d look great in that, here I’ll take it to the change room for you.» Ummmm… no thanks? When I replied that it wasn’t my thing, she looked me up and down and curtly replied, «yeah, some people just don’t get the latest street wear.» Needless to say even if I loved the dress and it was just $ 10, with that attitude I wouldn’t buy a thing from there — ever.
