OK so Melbourne domestic terminal is really not great in terms of food. We went to this place after walking around the airport and not finding anything interesting. Giancarlo was where we started so we just ended up there. My husband had the meatball sandwich and I had the pumpkin cibiatta. Both quite expensive. We asked for them to be toasted, they microwaved them first(!!!) and then toasted. The bread looked like it had been frozen. Not great.

Got the shuttle into the airport fairly early for a domestic flight and refreshed at Giancarlo– near the gates. Friend and I both got Iced coffees– mine with cream and hers without. Decent taste but maybe wouldn’t go with the cream– was very powerful and maybe overdid it for me. Shared their caramel slice which was soft filled and nice. Great seating around to rest while waiting. Not a bad place to stop by.

Average coffee, a total rip off and the service stinks. Sadly I must say this is the best(if not one of the only) café’s in Melbourne airport. It really irks me that places in airports charge so much, I think it’s criminal. Last time I was here I got a coffee out of desperation for a pick me up and it had not improved since last time. I also noticed that the staff member slyly smiled after she told the previous customer they had no pies left and he asked if she was serious. Anyway I can’t really say too much more on this place. If you really need a coffee try this place, if not bring a thermos flask of home made.
