A beautiful boutique family winery off the regular tracks, with art and sides. The host was lovely, knowledgeable and friendly, the wines beautiful although their range(being smaller) is equally so. The add-on shed exhibits local artists with some great works(all for sale) and we’re told they regularly hold exhibition events. The ‘sides’ were locally produced olive oil and various condiments, something I can’t overlook when in wineries like this — why would they have it there if it wasn’t interesting, local and delicious. Dog Ridge is relatively new to the Vale but in for the long run.

I came here as part of a Scoppon\Living Social deal I purchased for my mum for Mother’s Day. Unfortuately were weren’t able to use our voucher before the expiry date, but after giving them a call they had no problems extending it for us. This is such a nice little winery with delicious wines to boot. I ended up taking home 6 bottles of the Shirtfront Shiraz. We took part in a tasting and as well as the wines we were also given frech homemade bread and olive oil. Such a nice touch. And we found out that they are also part of the Wine and Cheese Trail. Something I will be back for as well. We were seated inside as the outside tables were all ready full, but this wasn’t a problem as another group came in after us and it was great to chat around the table with them. The host was lovely, she knew everything about the wines as you would expect and was so helpfull with local information about the area. I will definately be back!

Went here for an art exhibition last weekend and the view was amazing. For the exhibition, they had wine tastings, delicious cheeses, fruits, nuts and bread laid across several barrel tables. The food and wine was great, the view was spectacular and there was some very unique pieces of artwork at the exhibition. A grand afternoon and a great way to enjoy some fine art and fine wine.
