History

Established in 1996.

The founder & owner of Blue Sky is Chief Pilot, Mark Fitzsimmons. Mark, started his flying career as an aerial photographer in the UK, before emigrating to Australia in 1991. It was here that he saw the opportunity to take up the «other seat» and become a helicopter pilot, combining two passions, aviation and photography.

Mark’s wife, Kali is the Passenger Coordinator & Ops Manager assisting with the day to day management of the business & will normally be your first point of contact.

gf and I took this flight on New Years Day and it is a great way to see any city especially Sydney. These guys are very proffessional and knowledgable. Only bad thing is that their equipment broke down and we never got the video of us flying.

Great experience; knowledgeable and very accommodating staff. Not just a quick flight in a helicopter; there are different options available depending on where you want to go, or what exactly you want to see while you’re in Sydney. If you’re not sure which flight to take; I recommend looking at the sunset flight. Perfect for tourists and locals alike, it does change the way you look at Sydney after seeing things from the air. You’ll never look at the Sydney Harbour Bridge or the Opera House the same again! You also have the option to take home a video of your flight, with separate camera angles and music, all edited ‘on the fly’ (pardon the pun) and ready to take home shortly after you land.

I’ve been on quite a few helicopter tours around Australia and Blue Sky Helicopters is by far the best. From when you first contact Blue Sky to when you land safely back at Mascot the team go out of their way to provide excellent customer service.
It’s the best way to see Sydney and you can even take home a HD recording of your flight!
