I have lived in Maroubra for five years now and the only discount bottle shop was Dan Murphy’s… that I knew of! I had no idea but there is this fantastic rival to DM’s right down the road from me. I think it’s actually cheaper too! I got a Pewsey Vale Riesling for $ 20. It can be as much as $ 30 at some places so that is a great difference.
It’s huge this place and they have all your regular wines in one corner and then displayed in the middle is your rarer ones. Then they have a wall held especially for their best wines. I love this section.
They carry all sorts of vodka’s here like Bison and Kettle one. What I can’t get over is the price! Also, the fact that they don’t really advertise and nobody knows they exist just baffles me. They are even hard to spot from the street especially when dark.
Oh well, it’s like a well kept secret which I am now in the know. Yes!
