Rex Food Bar

Right near my old work and a regular lunch stop a minimum of at least once a week. We knew their menu and believe me, they sell almost everything here.
One end there is a typical fish and chip shop with all your usual burgers, fish, spring rolls, chips, steak rolls and their chicken schnitzels which have home made crumbing on them with heaps of herbs and flavour.
In the middle they have a warmer with things like sausages, chicken kebabs (so good), and roast meats — which can be ordered in a roll /​sandwich or with chips or vegies. They do the best roast vegies to go with them too. And then pour gravy over the top and it’s the most beautiful roast meal that seems home cooked rather than bought from a shop.
Then at the other end they have a typical sandwich counter with all fillings represented. Which also has plenty of cakes and pastries and donuts to choose from.
There are some indoor and outdoor tables and usually you can manage to get one. And of course they also have a great range of drinks and a small range of chips, chocolate bars and gums. New owners purchased it a few years ago and have done a fantastic job on all the upgrades, including buying a great new coffee machine to make really good coffee’s. No matter what you are in the mood for there is such a good range here that you can always find something you want, problem is to stop at just one thing!
