I like Vietnam and this is cheaper than the air ticket phở tai just like Hanoi. I need to brush up on my lonely planet Vietnamese food guide to be more adventurous pronominal!

Great place to have Phò, love the pickled onions there they have with it. It’s a shame it’s always packed when I want to go there. The Phò is the same every time with very fragrant broth, nice and hot when it comes to you.

Coming from Melbourne, the standard for a phở fix tends to be pretty high. I miss the easy reach of Springvale and Footscray where good phở was dime a dozen! Still, Phở Minh is pretty darn good. Hidden away in a tiny corner in Mansfield Park, many don’t know of this place, but those who do can’t stay away. The place is packed at lunch, with a steady stream of customers through the day. Doesn’t matter what time you go, even in the dying minutes of the their day(they close at 6pm), you still get customers coming in for a quick phở fix. The broth, is not always consistent. I have to admit that some days I wonder whether the chef took a holiday. But it’s worth going back again and again for the days that the broth is spot on. It always hits the spot. But the real treasure here at Phở Minh is their homemade Chilli Oil. The only place where I will have my phở with Chilli Oil, as this is the BOMB! Incredibly fragrant, there’s just something intoxicating about it. I can’t get enough of this and have often contemplated asking to buy a bottle. I haven’t yet, purely so I have an excuse to come back for the phở. Make the trip. Get out of the city and come over to Mansfield Park for phở. You won’t regret it.
