Excellent drop-in café for Brekky(all day) or Lunch. Imaginative menu, smiley welcoming service and when you ask for a HOT latte — you get it! Menu is Mod Oz and there’s a fridge cabinet with scrummy take-aways, freshened up regularly. Kerbside parking is at a bit of a premium so you’ll need to rely on Parking Karma. We were lucky. Prices reflect this somewhat upmarket eatery but are very good value. We’ll be back in a heartbeat.

Driving along Malvern Rd looking for a place to breakfast we nearly drove straight past ‘the Tiger’. My partner jumped online, looked up their menu and we were sold. We strolled in, got seated immediately by the friendly staff, ordered coffees straight away, it was great service. We ordered the French toast and mushroom breakfast, both were lovely. Only issues with the mushies — they needed a little more flavour, they were slightly bland. It was a nice experience sitting amongst the many Malvernians who all enjoyed a soy latte on their Sunday morning.

Consistently very good food and coffee. Inside/outside dining. Fresh, clean, and just a little upmarket.

Nice food. A welcome addition with newer menu than some of the overpriced boring ‘menu never changes’ places that take their customers for granted(not mentioning any names Sissi and co!). I just hope they change the menu every now and then.

Malvern Road is a flurry of new apartment developments at the moment. Which I guess is great; apart from the excess traffic, because it tends to mean that most places have now added cafes to the apartment blocks. Neon Tiger is one of those places that has opened up in the ground level of an apartment block. Neon Tiger is a blink and you miss it place. I honestly had no idea of the name of the place until I looked at the menu. The Neon Tiger is represented by a sign of a neon tiger, without any wording. Looks good though. When we went, Neon Tiger was only a couple of weeks old and I think they were still ironing out a few issues. The food was ok, I had a shakshuka and it was average, the smoothies we had were bland and the coffee was bitter. The service was friendly and my partner in crime’s eggs were fine. Based on all these factors I’ll give it an OK, but Neon Tiger will need to dazzle me on the next visit.
