Favourite Chair Café is a wonderful little space. I stumbled across it one day and was so pleased that I did. Located in the Maitland Heritage Mall, with the river just behind it, it’s intimate and very chill.
The coffee is quite good and the food was great (both times I’ve been there). Prices are slightly higher than a standard franchise café and service is very good.
Favourite Chair is right next door to a book shop, which they have integrated with. At the end of your meal you receive at discount voucher for the bookstore. It’s a percentage of your total bill.
In the winter it can get a bit too cold to sit outside, summer, it can get a bit too hot (although they do have some umbrellas). I’ve not yet sat inside though. Each time I went, all seats were taken (which isn’t a bad sign)
