This Maccas is like hundreds of others around Australia and thousands around the world. Maccas is all about consistency. The idea is that no matter what store you go to in Australia you will have the same menu, with the same ingredients and even the same greeting.
So, what is different about this Maccas. Their ice cream and thickshake machine is consistently unavailable. They use two different excuses. The first is that it is broken down the other is that it is being cleaned. You return a few days later and it is working again, only to be told a few days after that it is broken or being cleaned again.
Now, I have to wonder if it really is being cleaned. Because who in their right mind would clean the thickshake machine on a Friday night in summer in Perth? Apparently this store does consistently.
It has gotten to the point that if I want something that uses icecream I don’t bother stopping here, I will keep going to the next Maccas.
