Family run cafes always remind me of going over to a friend’s house for coffee and they take care of you like as if you are part of the family. That is how I felt going to Lunch and Latte. The owner was there taking orders and helping serve, and his wife even greeted us when our drinks got to our table. It was such an intimate, friendly, bustling atmosphere. The whole time I was sitting down, I kept seeing people stroll in and out with different orders of coffee to take away. Obviously they are doing something right. I was pleasantly surprised when our hot chocolate and iced chocolate came out, they looked so yummy and tasted perfect. Not sure if I would get the eggs Benedict again, the ham was too salty for my liking. But I would come back for a drink and cake, or for lunch.

If your looking for a fresh and healthy lunch place among the fast food and take out options in Lower Plenty then Lunch n Latte is for you! This small but delightful café provides a neighbourly place to breakfast on the weekend or a great place to grab a freshly make foccacia, sandwich, salad or frittata for lunch during the week. They do great lunch, I had a vegetarian foccacia and it was fresh and flavour filled. I cannot vouch for the Lattes as I had a yummy milkshake but my friend was pleased with their coffee. The cakes and slices are home made and delicious and their is a range of cold drink options here to. To speed things up if your in a rush phone your order through and they will have it waiting for you when you arrive. Lunch n Latte also caters so give them a call of find out what they can do for you. I like my cafes a little quirky which is why this place doesn’t get 4 stars. For a straight laced neighbour hood joint though this place it’s at in Lower Plenty.
