This place offers ‘Vietnamese food remixed’. Went yesterday during my lunch break. The menu seems to consist of different varieties of banh mi. I saw(I think) four flavours but can only recall three: Crispy Chicken, Slow Pork(guessing this is ‘slow cooked’ pork) and Beef Cooked in Beer. There are also hot chips and a few different salads. The rolls are also listed with a recommended sauce, and information about what the meat was cooked with(i.e. one or two of them were cooked in Japanese wine and the beef cooked in beer was cooked in Aussie beer). I had the Beef Cooked in Beer, and it was really enjoyable. Among the best banh mi’s I’ve ever had. The beef was melt in your mouth good. The beer it was cooked in and the chilli sauce I had with it gave it a nice flavour. I’m looking forward to going back and trying the other varieties. It can be easy to pass this little place by(though the paint scheme and the signage on the window can be eye catching) but if you’re in the area give it a go. You might be pleasantly surprised. As I said, I was there for lunch at about 12:00 — 12:30 but I’m unsure of their opening hours.
