Poor old Raj hasn’t had a review for a couple of years so I’m going to give him one! His shop is unique, but the best way I can describe it is to say it’s the espresso-and-sandwich reincarnation of the kind of one-man chai-and-samosa stall you can find all across South Asia. Raj is talkative, makes a great coffee and apart from his standard burgers and bacon and egg rolls can cook or cut up whatever you want and throw it on a sandwich for what seems to be his universal price of $ 8. His place feels so local it’s irresistible, and he has a consistent crowd of regulars who come in all week long for a coffee, a chat and a sandwich.

Delicious Mokador coffee CHECK Amazingly hot and Delicious food CHECK Extraordinary customer service CHECK Completely absurd PRICES??? SAYWHAT? Friendly Café is a tiny hole in the wall nestled in a nook just north of Lilyfield road. Raj the owner serves a full range of coffees and menu entries for brekkie and lunch. The only thing better than the friendly service and tasty treats are the rock bottom prices! A large flat white is 3 dollars 50? Are you kidding me? You can stumble away from the friendly café with a full stomach for less than a tenner! Make the walk and say Hello! You wont regret it!
