Expensive but it’s the closest you’ll get to a supermarket in the Kirribilli/Milsons Point area. Staff are friendly and helpful, but they never seem to have fresh bread. Try the berry cheesecake!

Good selection for a small supermarket. Just went there to get some dinner basics after arriving in Sydney. Not easy to find but has a reasonable selection and lots of healthy options to choose from.

A hybrid supermarket/deli this place makes picking up everyday food a bit of fun. Whether you have a serious gourmet palate or like to add the occasional gourmet product to your repertoire of weekly shopping this place will cater to you. The fresh deli selection of cheeses and antipasto is too tempting to resist, as is the selection of fine cold meats. Gourmet meal options include fresh pasta, delicious sauces, organic soups and a selection of fine ice cream. Of course artisan bread is also on offer. Prices here are a little on the expensive side but you expect that when you’re buying boutique.

They say Kirribilli is the suburb with Sydney’s highest rent, and this local deli offers prices to match. That said, for such a tiny space the selection of imported and gourmet goods is incredible. I know I can always stop by to grab some quality fruit and veg, and the brands stocked are more small batch varieties compared to what you’ll find at mainstream supermarkets. This is a great place to pop into for picnic goods before heading down to Bradfield Park by the harbour — in the fridge you’ll find Yulla dips and mini dessert pots(the vanilla yoghurt and chocolate mousse combo is a personal fave), Nudie smoothies and organic soft drinks; behind the deli counter, a solid selection of olives and cured meats that they’ll slice to order for you; and they have a rotating selection of homemade-looking cakes and tarts. By the bread loaves you’ll find kourabiethes(those little Greek crescent shaped cookies covered in icing sugar) and triangles of baklava packaged in pairs, which offers a great easy and cheap dessert option for two.
