Great food, fresh & tasty served quick by friendly & efficient staff. The beef cashew nut stir fry is absolutely delicious, it’s cooked in succulent sauce & the beef tender. The starters are varied & served hot with little veg flowers for design. The restaurant is cosy either sitting in or out & you always come away satisfied & full. The food is good value for money & there is a good varied menu. Would strongly recommend a visit to see & experience it for yourself!

Get home delivery from here quite regularly. Always quick delivery and always very tasty food. I’m sure they’re probably bought and then fried but the curry puffs are soooo good. Pad See Ew is also bomb as well.

We came here last night for dinner — Saturday night at around 8pm, you will definitely need a reservation. It was jammed pack with no room to move! Luckily they seated us pretty quickly. Love that it’s BYO, accept cards, they fill your water pretty frequently. Pretty on top of things. The food was ok? I have high standards for Thai food and this one met the mark. Didn’t blow me out of the water. The curries and stir fries were decent size and priced. I had a problem with the Som Tam(papaya salad). Never seen it like that, served in a little lettuce with chicken or beef on the side? It wasn’t spicy at all and didn’t have much«tang» to it. In short, it wasn’t the typical Som Tam you’d find on the streets of Thailand from an old lady wheeling a cart. Sadly, it was what I had in mind! Aside from Som Tam fail, everything else was decent. Would return.

Great food, nice twists on Thai traditionals. Wait staff were a bit slow off the mark.

The food was excellent & very tasty. I found the wait staff very efficient. Good size portions with very fresh ingredients. The prawns were huge and in the dish we ordered the vegetables were of high quality and seemed fresh. We would recommend the restaurant.

We were visiting our old stomping ground of Kirribilli(we moved to the US a while back) and discovered this little gem wandering around looking for good Thai. With many competitors in Kirribilli, this one stands out. Cool ambiance, groovy menu, great fresh produce and most dishes were delicious. We liked it so much we took friends back for NYE2012. Besides the roti(seems to be pre-prepared) each dish was full of flavor, nicely presented and well described. The duck larb was one of my faves, the massamum beef was melt in your mouth and the pork skewars were delish too. Skip the roti, but other than that, you can’t make a bad choice(the fresh spring rolls are tiny so you might need 2 orders). The staff are quite indifferent and even dissmissive, but that doesn’t distract from the food. If you are in the area, wander in and grab a table and enjoy the experience. It is also BYO so grab your fave wine across the street at the bottle shop and enjoy the people watching.

It wasn’t the best Thai food I’ve ever had, but it wasn’t the worst. Service was a little hit-or-miss, food tasted fresh, I like that it’s BYOB. The seating isn’t the most comfortable I’ve ever experienced.

Very average local Thai restaurant. The interior and general buzz on a busy night is good, but the food is very in remarkable, and for what it is, over priced. I wouldn’t make a special trip here, but for locals who want an unremarkable, easy mid week meal it is OK

Lately I have found eating Thai cuisine in Sydney an unpleasant experience, with most places only serving the standard Pad Thai/Pad See Ew options that Sydneysiders seem to enjoy so much. Bangkok Sidewalk however, provides a more authentic and interesting experience. The menu is extensive and every dish sounds as good as the last. The wait staff can be a little disinterested but at all times succinct. The ambiance of the restaurant is nice and although always busy, I never seem to need a reservation. I have been to Bangkok Sidewalk on many occasions and tried a range of dishes and each time the food has been full of flavour and the ingredients incredibly fresh. I would highly recommend the chef’s specialty, Seasonal Green Vegetables with King Prawns. The prawns were big, fresh and juicy(although you only get three per dish) and the sauce is light, flavourful and complements all the ingredients. Other dishes that managed to tantalise my taste buds included Beef Cashew Nut, which was bursting with flavour and the meat lean and tasty; and Chicken Red Curry, where marinated flavours successfully infused the chicken. A handful of entrees tasted and enjoyed were the Curry Puffs, Satay Skewers, Rice Paper Rolls and Prawn Cakes. Every mouthful of these delectable and well-thought-out items conjured up scenes and smells of the streets in Thailand. So if you are looking for an authentic experience that is a little outside the box in terms of what we have come to expect from Thai restaurants in Sydney without feeling as though you need a new loan from the bank, then Bangkok Sidewalk is your place. But be warned, after just one visit you may need to check yourself into BSA(Bangkok Sidewalk Anonymous). Yes, it is that good!

A very beautiful interpretation of a Bangkok Sidewalk, this place is a far cry from the likes of Khao San Road. But what Bangkok Sidewalk does bring to Kirribilli is the colour, vibrancy and energy that Bangkok is famous for. This isn’t the place for a romantic date, but if you’re up for a rowdy Friday night dinner with friends then this is the place for you. The service is standard and at times a bit chaotic but the traditional Thai menu will not disappoint nor will some of the more unique creations. Try the ‘Yum Talay’ which is a seafood dish($ 23.90) or the ‘Ped Nam Bouy’ which is a devine duck dish with hints of garlic, cinnamon and anise($ 23.90).

This busy restaurant is a testament to the venue’s success. Although a little packed and difficult to hear, the somewhat cramped table arrangements make the dining experience all the more intimate. Book in advance to avoid disappointment. The restaurant is simply buzzing, even during a weeknight. Bangkok Sidewalk is the ultimate venue for birthday celebrations. With a varied menu, there is something for everyone! Make a quick dash across the road to the bottle shop, BWS, and grab a bottle or two of wine to savour with your Thai dishes. Service can be a little slow, with food preparation taking awhile, but it is well worth the wait! Food is reasonably priced for this extremely popular restaurant. Take a stroll after dinner and enjoy spectacular views of Sydney Harbour under the bridge.
