Working in Kew means that you are pretty limited when it comes to your lunch break — not all of us can afford to dine at St Katherines every day, guys! Luckily there is Ichii Sushi which I have found is a step above other sushi shops. You can eat in(which I do when the Boss is paying) or takeaway(pretty much every day.) The service is very fast and the food is deelish, plus there is a great variety. The stock standard sushi rolls are MASSIVE and filled with mayo — which some people may find a little rich. But for only a couple of bucks a roll you’ll be full until teatime. I am also a big fan of the bento boxes and chicken/veg pancakes. Ichii is very impressive and a memorable sushi restaurant which is pretty great considering there is a sushi restaurant on every corner of Melbourne these days… My only beef? There’s no booze available, which means no boozy lunches for Jackie when the boss shouts.
