History

Established in 2007.

Advanced Vetcare was started in November 2007 to provide emergency veterinary care to pets in the Melbourne and Greater Melbourne Area. In addition, a specialist surgery and medicine service provides the option for referral for our surrounding veterinary clinics. Since 2007 our practice has steadily grown to become a multidisciplinary veterinary referral centre with 24hr Emergency and Critical Care support.

Business Owner

Our specialist veterinary surgical service is run by Sam Snelling. Sam is a specialist small animal veterinary surgeon with many years experience as a referral surgeon in Melbourne. Sam takes pride in his reputation for providing clear advice based on the best available evidence for your pet. Sam is a busy surgeon performing hundreds of procedures each year. Sam has a strong clinical interest in spinal surgery, cruciate repair, arthroscopy, fracture repair, cancer surgery, total joint replacement and minimally invasive techniques in dogs and cats.

Sam is pictured here with Tully, the new family pup found by the side of the road as a stray. She has certainly made the transition from stray street-​dog to pampered couch lizard in a very short time.
