I grew up living across the road from Lloyd Hughes Park. It’s a massive stretch of bush land with heaps of little pathways and hidden treasures. As a kid it was a magical place, and still is. Walking along the stony bush paths you’ll find quarts gem stones embedded in the ground, and if you’re lucky you might even come across the old abandoned slate quarry in there, too. It’s the perfect place for bushwalking, has street parking available, and only about a 15 minute walk away from the Kelmscott Train Station.
