Not one organic thing. Nothing special about this place. Produce looked limp and ragged. Not any better than Coles or IGA (except easier to navigate)

Lakeside Fresh Harvest is a fruit and veg shop on Lakeside’s first floor. Despite it having hefty competition [IGA is just around the corner, not to mention Coles and Woolworths downstairs], Lakeside Fresh Harvest still draws a decent amount of shoppers. One reason for this is that they sell organic produce, and at cheap prices. The produce is generally of good quality, and they also double as an Asian grocery, selling various Asian-​themed snacks and drinks — the aloe vera drink is worth a taste.
Lakeside Fresh Harvest is a great choice if you are looking for cheap, organic produce.

I spend quite a lot of time in here. Perhaps because I am a vegetarian and therefore fruit and veg shops are my kind of haven. Or perhaps because they sell cheap organic fruit and veg, and its easier than going into one of the busy lakeside shopping chains. It is kind of a bit of both for me, there is nothing like an organic apple or banana as a nice snack. Honestly organic fruit seems to bring out my healthy side. I think that the saying ‘fruit is gods candy’ couldn’t be more true when it comes to this store. They sell other bits and bobs as well, a lot of asian groceries, and dried fruit and drinks. The have sparkling flavoured water in cans, it is delicious!
The queues in the supermarkets in Lakeside are just silly, so if it is just fruit and veg you need, you should probably head here! Yesterday they had organic bananas for $ 3.99 a kilo! I nearly couldn’t believe my eyes!
