We’ve been here several times and keep coming back as it has always been a great experience. Both a la carte and buffet night options are delicious, and the children’s meals are filling and they struggle to fit in the ice cream that comes with it!

Have to agree with Christina. I have been eating here for a few years now and the food is really good, consistent quality when I compare to other bistro’s that can be hit or miss. The Fish of the Day is my favourite, full of rich flavour and good portion. The price is on par with places, but you get the quality for the price you pay. Its a golf club house, so has nice outdoor setting for lunch on the putting green. Its a cozy suburban gem. Must try.

I thoroughly enjoyed The Iris and I can’t believe I have lived within walking distance of it for most of my life and haven’t tried it yet! I arrived at about 19:30 without a reservation(it was a weeknight, and not too busy) and was seated immediately. I found the wait staff to be polite, attentive and efficient — there were only a few staff members on but we were never left waiting, everything was prompt and well executed. The menu is quite extensive, but I finally settled on turkish bread and dips for entrée and the beef fillet for mains. The turkish bread was quite a substantial serving, and quite well done(although a very simple item). The beef fillet was outstanding though — cooked to perfection, tender and quite well seasoned even without the sauce. The sauce was good, although it was on the menu as a red wine jus, and I feel like it was more of a gravy than anything else. The meal was still great, right down to the mash that was creamy and smooth and the broccoli that was full of flavour. The Iris is quite reasonably priced, and during the day offers a spectacular view of the surrounding golf course. It is quite well set-up inside, and has quite a nice cosy atmosphere. It can seem a little like a club room(more so during the day) but the food is good, the prices are reasonable and I find myself with very little points in the ‘negative’ column.
