Description

Specialties

Musical Functions provides live music for wedding ceremonies and wedding receptions in Sydney, Southern Highlands, Hunter Valley and Blue Mountains regions. Something Borrowed is the name of our band. We will play amazing music for your wedding ceremony and reception. Don’t be confused by our flexibility, as Something Borrowed changes from playing beautiful wedding ceremony music into a party covers band for dancing. We can even DJ and MC at your wedding reception.

Our Platinum, Gold and Silver wedding music packages provide nonstop entertainment from the start of your wedding ceremony to the end of your wedding reception. Whatever your plans, we are brimming with ideas for weddings small and large.

Whether you love classical, covers/pop or jazz, Musical Functions customises the playlist to suit your needs — and you can choose your key wedding songs to be played live for the bridal entrance and for your first dance!

Weddings take a lot of planning and we sometimes get booked out up to 12 months in advance. The minute you have locked in a wedding venue and a wedding date — that’s the time to book us in as well.

History

Established in 1998.

Work directly with the musicians. When you contact us, you will be dealing directly with the «lead musician», Jeremy who takes his experience producing concerts at the Sydney Opera House with famous bands and the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and wraps it all up into customising an amazing night of music entertainment at your wedding.

Meet the Business Owner

Jeremy C.

Business Owner

Jeremy creates wonderful music at weddings as his full time job — but with a difference: he has been playing the violin since the age of three. His first stage performance was in the Sydney Opera House at the ripe old age of five.

Some 25 years later, armed with a Bachelor of Music from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, Post Graduate Marketing, and as the Commercial Manager for the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Jeremy was responsible for the world première of «Star Trek and the Sydney Symphony», as well as bringing Nigel Kennedy, Air Supply, Dame Kiri, Bugs Bunny and The Whitlams to the Sydney Opera House Stage.

On top of his work at weddings, 2010 culminated with a performance on the steps of the Sydney Opera House with Angus and Julia Stone at the ARIA awards, watched live by over 700 000 people. 2011 was again a successful year with another ARIA performance with multi award winners «Boy & Bear».
