Suwan Thai’s tom kha gai (coconut chicken soup) is the best I’ve had in Hobart, but also the most expensive ($ 19 for a main serve), so it’s six of one and half a dozen of the other. Cheap Thai? Not Suwan. Good Thai? Probably Suwan. Knowing how fussy I can get about my tom kha gai, I’ll more than likely be back, but it’ll probably be on payday and payday only.
