THANK THE HEAVENS FOR YOU, SAPA ROSE.
It’s been six long months since I said goodbye to my beautiful Vietnamese takeaway in Brisbane and I thought I’d never see another delicious bun gao noodle salad again. But then… there you were. Like a beacon of hope and joy. With your multiple bun gao options (still no combination, but I guess I can make do with having to choose between spring rolls, lemongrass beef and sugarcane prawns, when push comes to shove).
Your bun gao prices are nothing to be scoffed at and the meal itself was exactly what I’d been missing. Like, literally, I had been missing the exact meal you dished up for me. I almost wept as I drizzled the little container of fish sauce over my salad.
I’ll be back before you know it, Sapa Rose. In fact, you have a very shiny and nice set-​up (much nicer than my old haunt) so I might even dine in some time soon. What larks!
