Stayed here during a month in Hobart. Very comfortable, clean rooms. Excellent staff from the front desk, to restaurant, to maid service. Nice heart of the city location with under building parking. Favorite part for me was the breakfast and dinner«monopoly money» I was given when I checked in. I didn’t make any of the stay arrangements so I don’t know if this is done for everyone, but for our 6 man crew, we all had the funny money. The money could only be used in the hotel restaurant for meals. And the food was excellent. Full lineup of breakfast items to include fruit, cereal, breads, muffins and crumpets. Juice, coffee, and tea. Eggs, baked tomato halves(my favorite), hash browns, toast, jelly, marmalade and Vegemite. And then a very nice dinner menu. By the time we left, we’d had everything they had to offer(a few times over). To include room service items and drinks from the bar. Oh, I have to mention this(not related to the hotel); when I woke up one morning and turned on the TV, this show came on that I thought was going to be like Lassie. And it was! Only slightly different. Are you ready? The show was… Skippy the Bush Kangaroo! Yep, its the adventures of this boy and his pet kangaroo! I sat there staring at the screen through the opening song. You know how Lassie could bark to let you know Timmy was stuck in the well? Olé Skippy makes these clicking sounds to communicate the same way. Only thing is, real kangaroos don’t make that sound. Works for TV though.
