Great coffee, Great Food. Was busy the whole time we were there. Would give it 5 but it’s expensive for what it is. Eggs Benedict — $ 18 Poached Eggs on toast — $ 15.50 Side of mushrooms(4 only!) — $ 3.50 Walked out $ 60 lighter.

Really nice food, but not enough for what is paid. Good restaurant vibe with quiet music and cool breeze coming through the door on a quiet December morning. Great Chai Latte!

What a great little place, bright with wooden floor in an older building on an intersection. Old telephones and radios as decoration and coffee to die for. The people that work here know the locals by name and by drinks that’s always a good sign for me! We had Roesti with a poached egg that was perfect and I had homemade nut and fruit toast with jam and butter, the best breakfast for me, it tasted very good and the jam and butter came in little dishes instead of prepackaged in foil I love things like that, save the environment ! Nice place, good for people watching and a good view on mount Wellington.

Definitely worth the accolades it’s received here. Ordered the«Big Breakfast», requested soft scrambled eggs — you’d be amazed how many restaurants don’t pay attention to that simple request! The eggs were just as I like them, the mushrooms divine and the sausage just perfect. The coffee was amazing — the best I’ve had in a while! Service was with a smile and attentive. Just go there and try it for your self…

This little jewel was just what I was looking for in a treat for my tongue. Friendly atmosphere. Yummy dishes with a focus on wholesome, «exotic» ingredients and local fare.

Excellent breakfast and service. Eggs Florentine with a side of bacon was perfect, and fairly large. I would definitely return.

Attentive service, beautiful food and coffee. I am a happy girl! Find yourself a bright seat, and check out the specials. I ordered eggs benny, but was able to substitute bacon for ham. The toast was beautiful and buttery. The hollandaise was perfect. My latte was fabulous, except I asked for a tall one, and received a short one. The cakes on the counter had me wishing I’d left room…

This is a very cute little café on Elizabeth Street with a slightly alternative charm. From the old telephone collection to the home-style linen napkins Basket and Greene makes you feel relaxed. We dropped in for a late Brunch(breakfast menu is available all day on weekends) and were very happy with the decision to try somewhere new. I found the coffee was nice, although I personally tend to gravitate towards stronger brews, but the food was really nice and the servings a good size(enough to fill us up, but not so large I couldn’t walk after).

I stopped in for a coffee at Basket & Green on a rainy Sunday morning after a jaunt through the farm gate markets nearby. I was just going to takeaway but it was nice and quiet and there was a ridiculous amount of bench seating, with one little corner spot calling my name, so I ordered a large flat white(drinking coffee to warm up is such a novelty for a Queenslander) and took a seat. I noted both breakfast and lunch menus in the window, with breakfast ending at 11:30am… but then I overheard the beautiful words: «we do an all-day breakfast on weekends». Guuuuuuurl, you know how I roll. The service was really sweet and welcoming, and the coffee was indeed very well made! I regret that I wasn’t hungry, but I’ll definitely be back to take the menu for a spin. P. S. Every second Friday(or thereabouts) there’s a seven-course tasting dinner, so you can bet I’ll be back to get in on that some time very soon.

Basket & Green is a quaint brunch establishment on Elizabeth Street. It’s quite spacious with a small, but good menu. On the menu was eggs benedict and potato rosti perfectly cooked(crunchy on the outside, soft in the side). Great coffee and service. It’s also around the corner from the Elizabeth Street Farmer’s Market held on Sundays.
