Perth Diving Academy – Hillarys

The dive shop is right next to where I work and we usually launch the boat at Hillarys when we go diving. So the location itself is 5 stars! (for me anyway). They have 3 stores (Balcatta, Hillarys and Fremantle)
At the Hillarys shop is where me and my mates get/​fill up the tanks and get our diving gear serviced. Great friendly staff!
I’ve also done my refresher course 5 years ago at Perth Diving Academy. The course was run by a very professional lady, there is a swimming pool behind the dive shop and the dive charter boats are great! The diving course starts at the pool and after getting the hang of it you get to go on the dive charter for two dives at Marmion Marine Park.
I’ve been on a dive charter with Perth Academy to Rottnest many times and can’t recommend enough. Is $ 150 for two dives, lunch, morning and afternoon tea included! They will pick the best spots depending on the condition (swell/​wind) and anchor the boat at awesome quiet beach at Rottnest for lunch and snorkel.
TIP: It happened once before, I went there during summer to hire a tank and was none left because of many people hiring tanks due to good diving conditions and diving courses/​diving charters been all booked out, so give them a call beforehand.
