Pizza perfection. This family owned and run pizza restaurant used to be one of Heidelberg’s best kept secrets. Now I would recommend getting in early as this tiny space is often filled by 7pm every night its open. The restaurant is serviced by a counter/bar and the star of the show, a huge wood-fire oven. The walls are adorned with Italian memorabilia reflecting the cuisine and there is something intimate, familiar and totally special about this family pizzeria. The service is friendly, genuine and personal. You feel like a guest at a family dinner here, which after you try any of the food is a great thing because you will be back as often as possible. The pizza’s are authentic, thin base pizzas with tangy tomato paste and high quality toppings. The pizza master Michele does the classics as well as anyone and throws in a few modern interpretations to vary the menu. A few pasta dishes round out this short but balanced menu. End the experience with the Desert Pizza. You will thank me, your waist may not. See you there!
