I guess if you are a fan of these type of vendors… its ok, but seriously any other place in town would be a step up…

Whats in a name? I know you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover, but I love the name of this place — The Jolly Miller. I hope I’m not the only one, but it makes me happy walking into a place with such a name. The interior follows a similar feel — theres plenty of light, it’s nice and open, and there are plenty of colourful cakes and slices on offer. Now into the serious stuff. The menu runs six pages — why people challenge me like that is beyond me. I settled with the Club Sandwhich(chicken, bacon, egg, lettuce, tomato, parmesan, caesar dressing in 3 slices of fresh bread, Big Mac style) with beer-battered chips(definitely one of my biggest weaknesses seeing them in the meal). I’ll say it straight out — if your looking at Heart Tick of Approval in your meals, I’d find somewhere else. But if you were as hungry as I was, or just in desperate need of a big, oily meal — it was amazing. And the chips were just loaded onto the plate. Nice! I pass through Healesville quite a few times a year, and I always love it for a quick stop-off. I’ve normally always just popped into the Beechworth Bakery, but after my last experience, I may more often swap between the two. The only downer is that you’ll be paying double that of the Beechworth Bakery, but when desperately hungry I know I will be more than looked after at the Jolly Miller!
