Camberwell Second Hand bookshop smells right. When a friend lent me a copy of «On The Road» to read recently(I know, I know, I should have read it already, but I’m behind), he told me to smell it and then immediately got embarrassed about the idea of smelling a book. But it’s important! In an age where bookshops close down in favour of Amazon and e-readers, finding a shop that gives a full sensory experience to one’s reading is a delight. Inside it looks like a standard second hand bookshop, in other words, a great location for whiling away a few hours scanning the shelves for something you haven’t already devoured. It’s speciality I think is its Classics section. My little sister is a Classics nut, and when I rang her asking if there was anything she’d like(«something I haven’t got yet,» «what’s that?» «oh, you know.») I managed to find several items she’s adored. Rare items as well, and old photos of the area. Well worth a look.
