Adept Driver Training is a driver training school based on the NSW Central Coast.

Accredited by both the Roads & Maritime Services and a member of the Australian Driver Trainers Association, I was previously employed for six years as a Driving Assessor for the Australian Federal Police (I assessed the driving abilities of Police). I’ve driven over 1,500,000 kms in all weather conditions, and successfully completed ten advanced driving courses and assessments over a 25 year period.

Students are taught the requirements needed to pass the R&MS examination and have a very high emphasis on safe driving techniques, effective and smooth braking, and include many tips on minimising the cost of owning a car.

How many lessons are required to pass is different for all people. On the introductory lesson the students underlying skills are assessed (which includes a one hour driving lesson and a 30 minute «know your vehicle» tutorial).

A detailed written report is provided within 24 hours with a suggested time-​frame for lessons and the areas those lessons should concentrate on.

All students are treated professionally, patiently and with respect. There is no-​one I cannot teach!

I have a current «NSW Police Working with Children check» and St Johns Ambulance «Senior First Aid» certificate.

History

Established in 2015.

Prior to establishing Adept Driver Training I assessed driving skills as part of my employment with the Australian Federal Police.

I started the business this year as I missed the enjoyment and personal satisfaction I received from passing on skills that most likely will save a drivers life at some time in the future.

The qualifications and driving experiences I’ve obtained over many years will provide students with the very best training methods.
