I’ve been to all of the older stadiums in Australia, and I love Metricon. Have a nice outdoor social area with bars, food and TV’s, and a stage for a pretty decent cover band before the game. Drinks outside are your usual expensive footy game prices(9 bucks something for a mid strength bourbon), but inside there’s a proper bar with ice and full strength spirits for a dollar or so cheaper. Had seats on level 1 in the front row on the wing and they were brilliant. Parking is a little annoying, you have to walk what feels like miles to an intersection and back to opposite where you parked to enter the ground, but they have free shuttle busses back into surfers /Broadbeach and a few other places that didn’t have too long a wait. Oh — they have flames going off for a bit of entertainment if that’s your thing!
