Went here for dinner with a few friends last Saturday night and while the food was delicious, the customer service was not. I had gotten there early so I enjoyed a beer while I waited for the others to arrive. they came along at 7pm. And by 20 past 7 we had to flag someone down to take a drinks order. When we were ready to order food we had to yet again, flag someone down. I work in hospitality so I can understand it when it’s Saturday night and it’s busy and so forth but to not have one waiter or waitress come up to our table throughout the evening is not acceptable. Sorry but I won’t be going back or suggesting the place to anyone else.

$ 15 Eftpos minimum… Terrible. If you looking just for a quick take out for one and have no cash. Go somewhere else.

I’m editing my review, as my opinion has changed over the past couple years since my original review. I had one uncomfortable experience with a waiter who was a bit rude, but I’ve been back multiple times over the years and he’s been really great every time. Maybe I got him on a bad day? Whatever, all is forgiven thanks to the chilled out dinners I’ve had there since. The kitchen staff all seem knowledgeable when it comes to dietary requirements too, which is always something I appreciate. It can get really loud inside if you’re there later, so my friends and I tend to get there a little after opening time and sit outside because hey, we’re grandmas okay.

I hate to give such a low star rating to a restaurant, especially seeing many of my friends seem to like the place, but I am afraid I just have no choice. I have eaten there a few times over the years and got take away once or twice, and each time I gave it another go because everyone else seemed to like it. Maybe I was just unlucky, but each time the dishes I have ordered have been very sub par. I didn’t really think you could get Pud Thai wrong, but I guess I was mistaken. On one occasion when I ate in with friends the meal was very nice, which matched the service. Unfortunately my bad experiences have outweighed the good.

When I first heard of the name of this place I ignorantly assumed that Indian and Chinese food decided to breed thus creating Indochine. I was actually quite wrong and this noodle bar is far more of the chine than the indo if you get what I mean. My boyfriend really likes this place, he took me once and the food is fairly nice. We both chose stir-fry type meals, which I somewhat enjoyed. We did not wait long for our meals and we decided to sit outdoors, although I think inside may have had a better ambiance on that particular night. A great thing about Indochine is its Glenelg location. So if you feel like Asian by the beach, and not keen for any take away style noodle box cuisine, then I would suggest Indochine for your next meal.
