Hmmm. Hmmm. It’s difficult for me to explain my thoughts on this café. I had dropped in for a coffee and the coffee was OK, but not great. A bit on the bitter side. The décor was clean, tidy and spacious but the seating was uncomfortable. Customer service average and no one smiled! I would return if I was in the shopping centre this is a part of and was desperate for a cuppa but would rather walk further down the road to Gloria Jeans!(This is saying something as I do prefer to support small business rather than chains where possible.)

Food was good for a café in the middle of a shopping mall. The coffee was very good but the service is TERRIBLE… would it kill the staff to smile? The young woman who brought us our coffees pushed our coffees at us with such force the coffee spilled all over and made a mess on the saucer and the table. She is actually lucky she did not burn herself. She did not say a word, she just walked away and we had to clean up mess ourselves. Will I go back? Probably when making a trip to Woolies but won’t go out of my way to eat there.

Nice cappuccino, average hot chips. That’s basically my experience. They’re fast, they’re cheaper than many of the options around the Glenelg area, and the cappuccino was very, very good. They seem to know how to get the fundamental stuff right with this delicious drink — good beans, the right ratio of milk, coffee and froth, how to not burn the milk, that sort of stuff. And the service was alright.

I stopped in here last week in desperate need of a caffeine fix. Il Kafe cappuccino with one and a half sugars was the perfect fix. It’s amazing how wrong a cup of coffee can go, but Il Kafe managed to avoid all the major errors, the only real issue was the milk was a little hot. Other that that, a pretty decent cup. I was served pretty quickly, even though they seemed to be pretty busy so that was great.

I don’t know if they realise they’ve displayed their title with grammatical and spelling errors. I wasn’t game to tell them, though. I liked their coffee too much. It’d been a few weeks since my last coffee. I’d gone off it again(I don’t like to get addicted to the caffeine, you see). I stopped in here to grab one, though. And it was amazing. Just a latté. I didn’t go for anything extravagant. But MAN was it good. And yes, you might make the argument it was only good because I hadn’t had one in a while, but who cares? I loved it. I loved it so much I ordered some wedges. They were pretty damn good too. Which is why I’ll forgive them their title. And why you should too.
