We came here for my Mum’s birthday, so we were hoping it would be worth the occasion. Whilst the atmosphere of the venue was ok, the food was quite nice. For entrée I had oysters Kirkpatrick. They were done as standard as any pub dish would be, except this was a restaurant, so I was a little disappointed, but happy. My main was an eye fillet cooked perfectly rare as ordered. The accompaniments of mushrooms, wilted spinach and potatoes were ok, but nothing special. The staff were attentive and friendly enough. Will eat here again, but not for a special occasion.

For a Hotel Restaurant, Infusion is okay. I have only eaten here the once, before catching a movie. The service was good, the food was nice. I had steak which was cooked how I requested, and was a nice cut of meat. The thing is, there are sooo many restaurants around Glen Waverley, you really need to have a ‘wow’ factor to get people back in, which I don’t think Infusion has.

If you’re staying at the Novotel and you don’t want to walk the extra hundred metres or so to find something else, you’ll probably go to Infusion. I hadn’t been there before, and although I must have walked past the door on my way through Century City Walk hundreds of times, I hadn’t really noticed it until a friend suggested it for a nice dinner. The food was alright. I had a marinated chicken fillet with vegetables, and was pretty pleased with the serving size. It was quite expensive, though. Like, over $ 30 expensive. It wasn’t very busy, which sometimes sets off alarm bells for me, but I can’t really fault the food itself. Staff were polite and efficient, but really, I don’t see myself going back unless someone else is treating me. Not when for the price of one person’s dinner, I can have a banquet at a nearby competitor.
