This place is a bit of a surprise to me. I must have walked past about a hundred times, and never really paid any attention to it. I just remembered it as being one of the shops vaguely in the vicinity of Max Brenner. It’s an enormous shop. It’s all homewares and that sort of stuff. It’s pretty well laid out(as in, it’s not terribly cluttered like a lot of the smaller homewares stores that I hate with the fiery intensity of a thousand burning suns), the staff are not annoying and relatively friendly, and the prices aren’t terribly high at all. I spent about an hour in there the other day whilst doing a bit of browsing for a new coffee machine. Seriously, have a look here first before you bother with the other shops.

I went into HS Home for the first time the other day. HS Home is a version of Harris Scarfe, which stocks all their kitchen, appliance, bedroom, and bathroom range. Looking at it from the outside I expected it to be very small, and I didn’t have high expectations. I was wrong. The store is actually surprisingly big, as it is deceivingly long. They had a huge range, most of which was on sale. I picked out atleast a dozen gifts for my husband to buy me for Christmas, and I could have picked a dozen more had he not hurried me out of the store. Definitely worth a look if you are a fan of Harris Scarfe, or bargains.
