What a find in the burbs! We had a great weekday lunch here. We were celebrating my friends birthday with a sneaky mid-week ladies lunch. The place is really fresh and modern, with great service and great value for quality food. They have a 2 course with wine $ 30 or 3 course with wine $ 40 menu. We chose to have the 2 courses and ended up sharing a dessert. Perfect! I had the Calamari with wasabi mayonnaise & Asian slaw and it was awesome. Lightly floured and pan fried calamari was tender and tasty, with the mayo and slaw was a great combo. It was a great entrée, but would also be good in a larger main course size. Next I had the Crab & Leek Croquette with aioli & tomato, cucumber, caper salsa. The croquettes were crispy and golden on the outside and pack full of flavor on the inside. The whole dish was very well seasoned, but if you don’t like salty food you might want to skip the capers. My friend had the barramundi(daily special) and that was really fresh and lovely too. We then shared a Crème Brûlée and it was soft and creamy, with a light toffee top. Don’t you love the sound when your spoon cracks to top of a Crème Brûlée Yum. Perfect for 3 people to get a little taste each. Our bill for 3 people — entrée, mains, shared dessert and 3 glasses of wine was bang on $ 100.

This is our #1 worst place of the year so far. It’s early but we are confident it will not be beaten. It was over prices and all the food was dry and under-seasoned. Our waitress had to read the 2 specials off a notebook and recorded our order in the same book. The worst Italian food in have ever had. There is no way an Italian is cooking in the kitchen. Service was slow and they forgot our 2 coffee orders of a cappachino and a late! Seriously folks, do yourself a favour and give this place a miss.
