Chinatown Dumplings just opened in October so I thought that I would give it a try as I do when I see something new. The décor to me was the perfect amount of tacky for a little dumpling house and the service was very friendly and fast and always with a smile. I tried the potato prawn yum cha as well as the fried beef dumplings. The potato prawn was unique to say the least, the texture of the potato was really nice but the prawn was the smallest that I had ever seen and was left a little unsatisfied. As for the beef dumplings, the meat inside was a nice texture but you could tell it was a low grade meat and quite fatty due to the greasy texture left in my mouth. A few tweaks to the recipe would have me come back.
