Start to finish in 56 minutes. Rushed out the door to make way for a bigger reservation. Hardly an example of Polish hospitality.

Service tonight was a major let down. When you book a table, you expect to be able to have it for at least 11⁄5 hours unless specified otherwise. This was not the case tonight. We ordered entrees and asked if we could order mains in a bit. Our server was ok with this but was heavily encouraging we order it all at once. We managed to settle her down and were given an extra 5 mins. Once mains were ordered we asked if there could be a gap between the dishes. We wanted to enjoy the meal and not feel rushed. The mains were served within 5 mins of our earlier dishes being taken away. SERIOUSLY? The second we were finished we were asked«are you done»? Maybe I’m being ridiculous but shouldn’t that have been, would you like any dessert, coffee, tea? Nah. They wanted us out. I could understand that had we hours. It was 58 mins from sit down to walkout. To management– if you are more worried with people in — people out, rent a space at a shopping centre. You have a restaurant, so maybe focus on service. Not getting people in/out/in/out.

Excellent Pierogo, great selection of Vodkas. As expected, the place was busy on SAT night and appears to be very popular in the Glebe area. Read lot of good reviews in local publications and so decided to try. The portions are small, get the 9 piece pierogi rather than 6 and Fried of course rather than boiled. The polish sausage looked good, will try next time. Mains are in 20s, they also got good sides around 4 to 6 dollars each. I recommend this place!

What a charming place! If you feel like eating a hearty, delicious meal I highly recommend this restaurant. The décor is cute and cosy and the service attentive. To start we ordered crumbed mushrooms with a delicious and surprisingly sweet horseradish sauce; boiled dumplings with potato and sour cream, and to top it all off, sweet dumplings filled with sour cherries and icecream. We were absolutely stuffed and very satisfied with the meal. I also sampled some really nice Polish beer, plus the vodka list is at least 3 pages long so it’s worth checking out!

This was my first time trying Polish food. Normally, they require reservations for dinner, but they accommodated us when we decided to just come by, while strolling through the neighborhood. We ordered the following: Mixed Pierogi — Traditional Polish dumplings(got to try mushroom filling, cheese fillings and meat filling). Liked them all and specifically enjoyed the tomato & roast capsicum sauce. Kosciuszko Ice Cream — This was our choice of dessert. It was beautiful served with a piece of caramel lit up. Loved Polish cuisine and will definitely dine again when I run into a Polish restaurant.

Never had Polish food but this one was fantastic! The dumplings were superb, pickles that came with the sausage were amazing and Polish beer was great!!! For those who want an idea of what kind of food you get, it’s kind of a mix between German and Swedish.

This was great Polish cuisine! The food was authentic and did not disappoint. It really felt as if there was an old Polish woman in the kitchen cooking us a a home cooked meal — delightful! The staff has good service, the venue was very homely and intimate. Would recommend and go back again!

Great dumplings and desserts, and everything else is pretty good(ultra stodgy, heavy on the lard and cabbage — so just what you want from Polish food!). Could do with a touch more spice. Lovely service.

Na Zdrowie is kind of place where I feel like home polish food. I ate here few time with different people. You can only expect polish, fat great food and lots of polish vodka and polish beer. I like this place as you can try a lots of polish dishes — pierogi, goloabki or kielbasa. All very traditional. And don’t forget to try smalec too :)

First time experiencing real authentic Polish place at a real authentic Polish restaurant in Sydney. The waitress only spoke Polish and when I asked for more gherkin, I got sour cream. My Polish friend was celebrating her 4 year anniversary in Sydney and booked this place for about 18 people on a Monday night. Because it was a big group, we had to do the set menu, which was $ 50. I like set menus because you get to try everything. We sat down and everyone was ordering drinks. I got a cocktail with polish vodka, apple, mint and juice — was really nice, but not very strong. Still it was a $ 9 cocktail, which is not bad. The meal started with bread and a bowl of «lard» which was surprisingly yummy with the gherkin. We also got a plate of different meats which was good, some stew, dumplings and a really yummy potato pancake. You can either get mushroom gravy with the pancake, or sour cream — both were really nice. For the mains, we had our choice between a chicken schnitzel, a meat cabbage roll, a fish dish and polish sausage. I opted for the cabbage roll as I’ve had sausages and schnitzel before and my friend said the fish was a bit different. Before our main came out we also go a bowl of traditional chicken noodle soup which was good but had a very different taste to the chicken soup I was used to. I decided to order a Polish beer, which was fruity and tasty but filling. I was pretty full at this point and then our mains came out, with more dumplings. The cabbage was nice and soft and the meat was tasty. Finally dessert, which was this creamy custardy thing in strawberry sauce. It was nice and light and yummy. After we all stuffed our faces, we asked for the check. Most paid cash but one person asked to be put on his card, but they put the whole amount on there! They said they couldn’t reverse it but my friend got them to call the owner and did it. It was kind of an ordeal, which is why this place is getting 3 stars instead of 4. Overall really good, homey, fatty food, cool environment, great drinks and pretty good service, despite the credit card debaucle.

This cosy, multi-award winning restaurant called Na Zdrowie(Polish for ‘to your health!’) serves first-rate, authentic Polish cuisine. Let me just say straight away that if you’re after ‘pierogi’- the traditional polish dumplings with your choice of mushroom and sauerkraut, white cheese and potato, or meat; look no further! They are simply delicious and rival my grandmother’s! It’s always good to start with a platter of polish smoked meats and sausages served with rye bread($ 14.90) or a generous serving of ‘barszcz’-beetroot soup with mushroom dumplings($ 9.90). In addition to the dumplings, the ‘golabki’ are the other standout for me. I’m pleased they have already been mentioned in another review; I hear you. This traditional Polish dish is made from lightly boiled cabbage leaves which are wrapped in a parcel-like manner around minced beef, chopped onions and rice; baked to perfection in a casserole dish in a tomato sauce. ‘Golabki’ means ‘pigeons’ but this refers to the shape of the roll; none of the ingredients have any connection with the pigeon meat. I must concede that the restaurant is a little overpriced(average price of main is $ 22) but the food is really satisfying. If dining with eight people or more, I recommend the set menu($ 45 per person) which consists of a banquet style entrée, soup, a main, and a serving of home style Polish cake to finish your meal. Welcoming and unpretentious, and serving some seriously good food, this is the best Polish eatery that I have tried in Sydney. The set up is like a traditional old-school Polish restaurant back in my home country! They’re open seven days a week but Fridays and Saturdays are consistently packed so if you haven’t made a booking, forget about it. The fully licensed bar is stocked with Poland’s finest beer and Vodka. How about a toast? Na zdrowie!

When you’re clinking your vodka shots with your table guests, you must scream ‘na zdrowie,’ the Polish equivalent of ‘cheers’. It’s easy to remember, as it’s the name of this restaurant. Na Zdrowie was actually a much nicer restaurant than I had originally expected, perhaps due to mediocre experiences at Polish restaurants in the past. The venue is beautiful and looks like a miniature medieval banquet hall, with rounded wooden doors and yellow brick walls. Truly authentic, the food here has a very homemade taste; I wouldn’t be surprised if these recipes were passed down several generations. Of course, everyone knows what pierogis are, but what you should know is that there is so much more to Polish cuisine than these dumplings. I ordered the Golabki, which is cabbage stuffed with meat and rice baked in a tomato sauce with potatoes. It was fantastic. The cabbage was very tender, but not soggy at all, and the filling was perfect. It was $ 21. The menu has tons of other options, like pork schnitzels and Kielbasa sausages. If your party has more than 8 people, there’s a set menu for $ 45 per person, which give you five different entrees, a soup, choice of main course, and dessert.
