I do love spending hours in a Harvey Norman looking at all the gadgets, playing the games, sitting in the couches etc, but since this one moved from Enfield a few years ago when the Gepps X Homemaker Centre was built, the service hasn’t been the same. Sure it’s bigger, newer, brighter, more technological, but it is always busy and the staff don’t know a whole lot and you can never even find a free one in your section! I went here early one Thursday night with almost a $ 1000 ready to purchase a laptop as I have never had one before. I was really excited and had done my research. I accept that it was busy, but I never even got looked at or acknowledged for around 20 minutes. I wandered around the laptops reading the info on the screens and looking at accessories. Eventually a young(clueless) girl came over and reluctantly asked if I needed help. I started asking questions about 2 laptops I was undecided on. She asked someone else because she had no idea, so after waiting for this guy to be free, he came over, turned the screens around to us and read me the specs. Wel yes, I am not stupid, I can read! I wanted more info obviously! So in the end I politely said thankyou and walked out with my $ 1000 and bought an iPad instead elsewhere.
