If you are after a freshly made sandwich and don’t want to go to Subway this family run café may be for you. Located in the Centrepoint Arcade next to the Geelong Advertiser this café is not blessed with wonderful surrounds but what it’s missing in ambiance it make up for in service. The husband and wife team have been in business for 25 years, 5 of them in this location. There are many repeat customers with whom they have a yarn as they make their sandwich, roll or wrap. There are also sausage rolls, vegie patties and scones with jam and cream. They do some yummy soups in winter. The seating is simple and there is always a paper or a magazine for you to read. At peak times you may have to line up for a few minutes but you can spend that time Unilocaling on your phone! This café is not a destination venue but if you are in Geelong CBD and want a simple, homemade style lunch it is a handy spot to know. Catering of sandwich platters is also available and a name change of the café may be pending.
