Living on the Northern Beaches, seafood is a way of life. We eat it at restaurants, at barbeques, at home — on any occasion, really. So it’s nice to have a great seafood supplier like Moribato and Sons Seafood, conveniently located in your suburb.
Found in the Forest Way Shopping Centre, Moribato is always busy; any given weekday, there are always people in line to get their paws on some fresh seafood. Over Easter (you know how you’re meant to eat fish on Good Friday?) and Christmas, you’d better get in quick — as much seafood as the shop can take, it does. But it all sells, given its reputation for quality and tasty seafood.
The variety is quite amazing — you want salmon fillets? Balmain bugs? Sydney Rock Oysters? Trout? King Prawns? All the usual fishy suspects are available for a barbeque with friends, or a quiet night at home. Moribato and Sons also does a mean fish ‘n’ chips, which means the queues on Friday night are often big to the extent of «Take a number, and wait over there.» The wait is usually well worth it though — crispy battered fish cocktails and calamari rings are the perfect substitute if you can’t be bothered to cook on a Friday night.
