Arcades are far too rare in this city. Gone are the days when you could go into the city and spend hours with your friends blowing all of your time and money on X-​Men vs. Street Fighter or, if you are so inclined, Skill Testers. Fremantle is home to one of the few arcades left scattered around the city, and it by far one of the largest. While the selection is very repetitive and some of the machines are in dire need of repairing, charging your Powercard is a reasonably cheap way to hang out with your buddies and kill some time.
Ticket games are bountiful, if you really want to win 329 348 of those rock hard candies from under the counter, but some stand outs in the store are Time Crisis 3 and King of Fighters XI, a personal favourite of mine even if the joystick on the machine is usually broken.
Totally worth the train ride if you are keen for some cheesy fun with your mates. I highly recommend splurging and getting one of those booth photos taken. Always worth it.
