Moondyne Joe’s Bar & Cafe

I always hate to do it. I hate giving one star reviews but I always say that ratings are earned, not given. I stopped at this bar one afternoon because I saw their name on a list of soccer pubs in the area. I wanted to make sure they were showing the English Premier League and if I would be able to watch it. I was told that yes, they will be showing those games, but they start at 10pm and they can only serve alcohol until 10pm. This was ok with me, I just needed to put in an order before the game started.
Flash forward to 10pm. I showed up a few minutes early so I could order a drink. I noticed the game wasn’t on but there were three or four other people gathering in the pub. I also noticed that I was the only person wearing an EPL jersey. Everyone else seemed to just be looking for a place to drink. The bartender again assured me that the game would be on and that I should order soon so she can actually let me have the drink. I ordered and sat down and waited for the game to start.
After ten minutes of trying to fix the television, the staff finally got it to turn on. Good news, rugby was on. I asked again about the EPL game that was now ten minutes in and the bartender walked away to do what I thought was figure out what channel to change the TV to. She ended up just never coming back. I waited about ten more minutes and I never saw her again? I got so fed up with this place, I put my drink back on the bar and left. They were just trying to get me to buy a drink. Sot hey would tell me whatever was going to be showed.
Even though this place is listed on the EPL bars list. Even though they have soccer and EPL listed on their own company website. Even though I stopped in earlier in the day to make sure they were showing soccer. THIS PLACE IS NOT A SOCCER BAR. Moondyne Joe’s is a dark bar with lots of terrible customer service.
