It’s a diminutive stand but the rows of brightly decorated cupcakes inside the Freo markets are hard to miss.
There are chocolate cupcakes, chocolate-​mud cupcakes and vanilla cupcakes each topped with perfectly formed swirls of buttery frosting in pink, blue, yellow or chocolate.
These are some of the most colourful cupcakes I’ve seen; adorned with a variety of yummy bits from hand-​crafted confection flowers to Maltezers, raspberry jellies and 100s and 1000s — just take a look at my pictures.
You can also buy itty-​bitty cupcakes when you can’t squeeze in a regular one, as well as decorated Disney character biscuits.
